I love to travel and explore new places, whether it's a long road trip or a short adventure close to home. Visiting a new place helps me slow down and appreciate all that our world has to offer. Being from San Antonio, we have a lot of rich culture and I have loved living there. Texas as a whole has so much to offer, you can literally drive for 10 hours starting in Texas and still be in Texas! If I had to choose traveling by plane or by car, I would pick car every time. The longest road trip I ever went on was 16 hours and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Some of the best places you can visit are often overlooked. Looking back, I would say my favorite place I have visited so far is Colorado, which was about 8 years ago. Hiking in the mountains was unlike anything i'd ever done before, and it was my first time seeing real snow. Recently, I went on a read trip in the North Western part of Texas, and even stopped in New Mexico. On a whim, my boyfriend and I decided to do a camping road trip where we visited the Guadalupe Mountains National Park, White Sands National Park, Marfa, and a few other places. It was as low as 20 °F when we camped and it even snowed on one of the nights. I think what I most enjoyed was that we did not have any real plans; we stopped whenever we saw something cool, ate whenever we got hungry, and stayed as long as we wanted to. I have plans to go camping again in the next couple of months and I for sure will be going purely off vibes.
I have been an avid concert goer for over a decade, one of my firsts being Selena Gomez in 2013. I love being able to see my favorite artists live. I especially enjoy when artists perform acoustic or altered versions of their songs. I think its a great way to show support and feel connected with a community of people who also love the artist. San Antonio has bigger venues like the Frost Bank Center and the Alamodome, but I actually prefer the smaller venues. Most of the artists I like to see started with small, niche audiences so I frequent venues like Paper Tiger and The Rock Box. Some of my favorite artists I have seen are
I prefer being in the crowd rather then sitting down during concert because I love being able to move and feel the energy of everyone around me. For artists that I really like, I have waited hours just to be in the front row. Cuco is my overall favorite artists who I have seen multiple times and even got the chance to meet. Another things I love about concerts is the merch. Sometimes, artists will create limited edition items that you can only buy at the shows. Some have even made special merch for Texas shows. I love seeing all the cool graphics and I usually get a t-shirt and Cd's or vinyls. I have been able to get merch signed from some of my favorite artists and ask them questions about some of my favorite songs.
